Welcome to Castaway Lodge, your home away from home. Centrally located in the heart of Seadrift, Texas, and setting the standard for Seadrift Fishing Lodges with affordable convenience and the best the mid-coast has to offer, set in a coastal casual atmosphere.
From the comfort of our accommodations, our Homestead lifestyle and Garden-to-table Cuisine, to the command of the outdoors by our guides, we offer affordable convenience and a great experience for family groups, special occasions, team building, customer appreciation, corporate outings, and conferences.
The original footprint was built on a half-acre in 2007. Thanks to the tremendous support of our guests, in the Fall of 2015, we added over 11,000 square feet of accommodations, indoor dining/conference, and operations facilities. We’ve acquired 3 additional acres and 700′ of bayou-front leg stretching room, greenbelts, and parking. Come experience coastal hospitality and the NEW Castaway Lodge On The Bayou! Dining/Conference Building
New for 2016 are new focal points, including the Dining/Conference Building with seating for 40 guests trimmed in knotty Alder built-ins; soaring ceilings and taxidermy, and the smells of Wendi’s home cooking.
Bayou Facility
Now with plenty of leg stretching room, the New for 2016 Bayou complex is another huge focal point with upgrade accommodations for up to 24 guests with massive wrap-around porches; full-size beds for couples; built-in gun racks; in-room refrigerators and much, much more. Quarters Building
Directly adjacent to the Dining/Conference building and the outdoor kitchen, and consists of private bedrooms and in-room bathrooms and a large Great Room. The Great Room offers relaxed conversation and is centrally located with all the comforts of home!
Outdoor Kitchen
There is a large outdoor kitchen, which is a focal point around dinner time and is a massive conversation area with a wet bar and big screen TV; outdoor fireplace; and consists of 2,500 sf of entertaining area.
Southern – Garden To Table
At Castaway Lodge, you can expect “The Tastes of Texas” made with the freshest ingredients: local, along with our garden-grown produce, and seafood made fresh daily. Baked delights and desserts are served nightly.
Evening Activities
Kicking around the lodge at night, our facility is set up with multiple tables for poker and dominoes; 700′ of bayou frontage with 2 pavilions; picnic tables; 4 horseshoe pits; and washer boards. For the “Hard Chargers” we’ve got Night Vision “Spot N Stalk” guided hog hunts shooting our late gen Night Vision and thermal along with Flounder Boat & Wade Gigging as well as “Night Wade Fishing” trips.

Coastal Bounty
Rich Southern dining is a specialty at The Lodge, and you can’t beat Wendi’s home cooking. Take a deep breath and let her spoil you with the best tastes of the South. She starts with the freshest ingredients grown and preserved here on The Homestead, including seasonal produce, and pairs them with local Seafood; “Choice” Certified Black Angus, and specialty cuts of Pork, Fish, and Poultry. Scratch baking, including desserts and breads, fills the air.
