Back Lakes Reds & Shoreline Trout
Castaway Lodge Seadrift Report

Whether thinking Trout on the table or smoking drags from the big pull of Redfish, back lakes; shorelines; and, shell venues continue to produce solid catches. The Capt.s of Castaway Lodge have been ripping lips with guests from all over the State over the big holiday. Lots of fish are being reported over mud/grass with a solid bite in the back lakes. Shorelines and shell reefs have been the “strike zone” for Trout fishing with live bait. We’ve got a heavy slate coming up this week and weekend and look forward to great fishing with everyone. Come see us when you get a chance!
Kauai & Maui are No Ka Oi!
Wendi and I are on vacation at this time with Capt. Chris Cady and wife Bianca “on point” at the lodge and “bringing it”! We just came off Kauai and are now hung up in Maui through mid month. We’ve travelled the Carribean pretty extensively and I must say that Hawaii is in a league of its own IMO. Kauai was like stepping on set of Jurassic Park; Maui like the set of Magnum PI.
