Lots of great weather and fishing has taken off with schools of Redfish getting worked over on drains, lakes, and bayou mouths on falling and low water conditions. We’ve been getting a pretty good tide swing of late and that’s pushing fish up shallow and then taking them back out deep. Capt. Chris Cady lit up the fish airboating with Richard R. and guests while Capt. James Cunningham worked the fallouts with fast action on fish pushing the upper edge of the slot.
Construction Front
Bayou Quarters & Bayou Fireplace, Pavilions, Kayak Trails
We’re flying into the verticle phase with the Bayou Quaters building going verticle this week and we’d like to thank Superior Stone for jumping on the band wagon of “build sponsors”. We’re looking forward to throwing the first logs in our massive bayou stone fireplace and at this pace it will be here before you know it! Our main pavilion and all secondary pavilions went verticle last week and the backdrop continues to get “very compelling”.
We dropped our layout boats in the water yesterday for a little decompression coming off our mud room project and hit the water pre-Superbowl yesterday to try it out. Yea that was a lot of fun and just a great add on and excellent venue for our guests. We’ve got a couple of miles of protected trails through Seadrift that open to the bay and City Harbor. Of course, we’ve got to test it out straight into a Southwind shift…LOL but coming back to the Bayou Facility we had the wind at our backs!
