Tides remain elevated with winds starting to stabilize a bit here the last few days.  Freshwater inflows continue to bring the bay toward seasonal healthy norms and Capt. James Cunningham indicated that the “set up” is looking good heading into Summer.  Capt. Chris Cady hit a home run on the airboat as overcast conditions had him struggling to find the fish with the tides so high.  He managed to limit on Redfish but there were no Black Drum to be found.  The new Haynies are a dream and everyone’s loving the new 23 Cats powered by our faves the Mercury 225 Optimax.  On the wade fishing side, Capt. Donnie Heath reported good action on topwaters taking solid Redfish numbers.  Working soft plastics down low picked off Flounder but Trout were a struggle.

May is the big transition month as we head for much warmer weather.  It’s characterized by big winds from the South with Speckled Trout squarely in the cross hairs.  We’ll stay close to the Reds as well.  Come see us!

Construction Update

We’re near completion with all the square pegs needging to fit in the square holes….some do, some don’t…LOL and that’s just the way it is.  Built-ins are being completed this week and the painters are already on the staining…so we’re getting real close.  Dining/Conference granite is inbound Friday and that will be a big boost as plumbing trim out plays catch up.  We went with Alder on the cabinets and Custom Cabinetry from Rockport is just hitting it out of the park.  Stay tuned.
