Trout Fishing Takes Off!

We’ve got a big schedule ahead as we welcome guests from all over the State for some great Spring fishing here on the coast. Trout action while wade fishing with artificial lures just went off the charts as water temperartures climb above seasonal norms. Redfish continue to plow the back marsh venues and we’ve been working mud/grass pockets encountering fish pushing the outside edge of the slot.
We’re not sure how fast our typical May transition is going to emerge but we’ve got our eyes on that ahead moving into April. We’ll be transitioning from certain baits to others and looking for broader mid-bay structure to open up as Spring winds die down. We’ll keep you posted.
Lodge News
Construction progress has hit a feverish pitch of late as we’ve gained some major traction heading toward completion. Interior framing is pretty much a wrap and we’ve got windows and doors being installed at present along with other trades roughing-in. The bayou campus is looking amazing with grass plantings taking hold and flourishing with rains of late and all the trees are putting on leaves including a towering Bald Cypress Tree that we managed to save. It’s been a fun ride.
