A welcome visit from Northerly winds last week have made for some great Trout fishing in the surf with limits on solid fish coming to the boards. The direction shift has also led to better action on the flats for Redfish despite very calm conditions which are typically counterproductive. Wade fishing has waned somewhat with Capt. Kolten Braun reporting lots of desert with not much oasis over what had been really hot shorelines. Slick conditions with little wind seems to be hampering this a bit and Capt. Chris Cady is taking another look this morning with guests.
Releasing Oversized Redfish
We’re running into some absolute toads on the flats and back haunt shallows. We expect to run into more and more of these majestic bruisers heading toward the cooler months. We recommend releasing these fish at every opportunity, so do your kids and their kids a favor and take a picture and let them go.
Cast & Blast (Teal/Dove) Big Lizards
We are working on filling up weekdays for these great combinations you’ll find here on the Middle Texas Coast. We’d love to have you and now is definately the time to be finalizing plans. Give us a shout for scheduling.
