Mid-Bay Reveals Treasure, Texas Duck Hunting Seasons Set

Texas coastal duck hunting guides cross over between fishing and waterfowl and during primetime execute both seamlessly. Cast and blast combination trips during November find plenty of ducks on the coast along with an excellent set up weather wise for great opportunities in both venues. This is an important emphasis for in-State and golden triangle patrons considering a trip.

**Fishing Report**

Mild winds continue a blistering pace on the water with guests enjoying solid Trout action. Limits have been coming in reminiscent of old school days where limits bled into more limits day after day. We’ll see how that holds up through the next couple of months. Redfishing has been waning at present with scattered fish buried in less than ideal locations. We’ll see them come back together and tighten up schools sometime in July carrying through to August before changing real estate. The surf is starting to be a consideration but it’s hard leaving great fishing here in the bays.

**Night Fishing Adventures – Beating The Heat & The Crowds**

Another approach is “night fishing”. It’s an amazing adventure for skilled anglers and novices alike and it’s an absolute passion among our guides. We’re no strangers to darkness and moving around the bays and mazes of back lake marshes. I’ve always said Capt. James Cunningham is better in the darkness than he is in the daylight, ha! He’s darn good in the daylight so there you have it. Experienced anglers enjoy wade fishing shorelines working artificial and topwaters in the darkness along with live bait when in season. Less experienced anglers might find a boat fishing trip more to their liking, keeping close to the ice chest under the lights.
