Spring Break-in, Kids Fishing, Apple Pie & Airboats
From airboat red fishing trips to wade fishing artificial lures, guests have been having great success over mud/grass in the shallow bays and back lakes. Big winds are a strong feeding catalyst and this is the time of the year when you can pretty much count on lots of wind. Check us out on Instagram
We’ve been churning up the water with friends and family groups getting in on the Spring Break action along with Corporate guests team building here at the lodge. Fishing has really been on fire with lots of big smiles and tremendous success. This is also a time where we make plans for the future. We’ve got big plans with the addition of our second Air Ranger airboat coming to the fleet. We’re adding two new ones here this Spring! They’re the massive 20 x 8 airboats that we’re famous for running with lots of room for gear on those duck hunts and plenty of fishing room for airboat redfishing trips. We’re also bringing in a new Ankona 18′ Shadowcast Poling Skiff for our fly fishing and light tackle sight casting guests. Of course it will be powered by Mercury Marine. This is what is referred to as a “micro skiff” and is designed to effortlessly negotiate the maze of back marsh lakes and bayous. These boats are meant for one angler, two anglers at the max along with the guide. It will be powered by a Mercury Marine 30HP 4 Stroke. Check out www.seadriftflyfishing.com for more details.
