Strong Cast & Blast Conditions!
**Fishing Report – Flats Action Continues**
Lots of boat fishing trips on the flats have dominated the fishing theme of late with guests itching for action that’s burning up the drags! That’s been a pleasure with the Captain’s focusing on scattered schools tightening on big weather. We’re itching for some wade fishing artificial fishermen to start probing the “low and slow” Corky bite for some monster Trout. This is going to be an excellent Winter for that action, so give us a shout!
**Duck Hunting**
Limits shoots far and wide for guests and steady action over the blocks. Some of our hunts have been in some nice weather catalysts with action waning a bit on post cold front slick-offs. Plenty of birds working tight over the blocks with puddle ducks dominating straps. Capt. James Cunningham reported a 36 bird hammerfest on Saturday, not many Teal, mostly all big ducks.
Redheads are looking good and piling into the bays and back lakes on each passing cold front. We’re looking at Geese and Sandhills making there way in to the Central Flyway Wintering grounds as well.
**Castaway Youth Charities – Castaway Classic Tournament News**
You’ll be seeing this event hit the newsfeeds far and wide as we prepare to create this amazing benefit for local kids this February 7th and 8th. Castwaay Youth Charities is a 501-(C)3 non-profit comprised entirely of an all volunteer management team and Board of Directors. Philosophically, we do not have use debt to finance operations and we extract 100% of more of event proceeds which are in turn donated to local youth initiatives. These have included The Boy Scouts, Seadrift Troop #106; local Church Youth Groups; and, Lakeside 4H will soon be another beneficiary of approximately $3,000 from this years Pumpkin Patch.
We’ve got lots and lots of great fishing ahead of us. So if you’re planning a trip, get started **[HERE](https://seadriftbayfishing.com/calendar).**
